Steam Account Information

We access your Steam account data, including your game library and associated save game metadata, solely to provide the cloud backup and sync functionality of the application. We do not store your Steam credentials.

Google Drive Data

With your explicit consent through Google Sign-In, our application requests access to your personal Google Drive to store, read, and manage your Steam save game backup files. We only access files that our application has created. We do not access, read, or modify any other files in your Google Drive.

Usage Data

We may collect certain technical information such as your IP address, device information, and usage patterns to improve our services and troubleshoot issues.

Google OAuth & Google Drive Integration

Steam Bang uses Google OAuth 2.0 to authenticate users and Google Drive API to provide cloud save game synchronization. Here is exactly what we do and do not do with your Google account:

What We Access

Google Profile: Your name and email address to identify your account in the app.
Google Drive (App-specific folder): We upload, read, replace, and delete Steam save game backup files within a dedicated folder created by the app.

What We Do NOT Access

We do not read, write, or access any personal files, documents, photos, or other data in your Google Drive outside of the app's dedicated folder.
We do not access your Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or any other Google service.
We do not share your Google account data with any third parties.
We do not use your Google data to serve advertisements or for any marketing purposes.

Google API Scopes We Request

• openid — For authenticating your identity.
• profile — To read your name and profile picture.
• email — To identify your account by email.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file — To upload, read, replace, and delete only the save game files that our application creates in your Google Drive.

How We Use Your Information

To authenticate you and maintain your session within the desktop application.
To upload your Steam save game files to your personal Google Drive as cloud backups.
To restore or sync your save game files from Google Drive back to your local machine.
To improve, personalize, and expand our services.
To detect, prevent, and address technical issues.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your save game backup files are stored in your own Google Drive account — we do not store copies of your save game files on our servers. You can delete any backup files directly from your Google Drive at any time.

To revoke Steam Bang's access to your Google Drive, you can visit your Google Account Permissions page and remove Steam Bang from the list of connected apps. This will immediately revoke all access.

If you wish to delete your account data from our system, please contact us through our contact page. We will process your deletion request within 30 days.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. We use OAuth 2.0 tokens to access Google services and do not store your Google account password at any point.

OAuth tokens are stored securely on your local device and are only transmitted over HTTPS-encrypted connections. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.
